Paul has given fifteen years of dedicated service to The Australian Ballet as an archivist, has served as a panel member for the Victorian Arts Centre Trust’s Green Room Awards and has had an extensive performing and teaching career.


In Australia he performed professionally with the Kirsova Ballet and the Borovansky Ballet and he danced internationally with the Glyndebourne Opera, the Metropolitan Ballet the Brussels Opera Ballet. He also appeared with a number of Australian colleagues in the film The Red Shoes.

After retiring from performing, Paul taught for many years and choreographed a number of works for television and the stage. In January 2008 he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the development and promotion of dance, particularly ballet, as a performer, choreographer and teacher.
