As part of the annual Australian Dance Awards celebrations, Ausdance Victoria and partners present a free public dance program at Federation Square on Saturday 6 June 2009.
Dance in the Edge
11am - 2pm
BMW Edge Stage, Federation Square
Free – arrive and leave any time
Performers of all ages will be on show at the BMW Edge in a presentation of performances from Victoria’s semi-professional and community dance studios and schools. Dance in the Edge will feature short group and solo performances spotlighting the diversity and breadth of Victoria’s dance sector and will feature hip-hop, ballet, folkloric, contemporary, hybrid and cultural dance.
Dance in the Edge will be Auslan-interpreted 
Get Into Dance Expo
Alongside Dance the Edge will be the Get Into Dance Expo. The Expo will hold a variety of stalls from dance organisations, services and professional bodies who will be on call to answer all your questions and to pique your interest in dance – both professionally and recreationally.

Moving One Hundred
Ausdance Victoria and Chunky Move in association with contemporarydance.com.au are delighted to present Moving One Hundred, a new large-scale participatory work choreographed by Stephanie Lake and performed by 100 members of the public, some dancing for the first time. These performances top off rehearsals taking place throughout May.
